Reset Button – Words Lift Up & Words Tear Down – Lead in LOVE

Come together, right now….we need to agree to disagree in some cases.  At the end of the day, we need to consider the children of the future.   Protecting them and their innocence.

We must lead in LOVE.

LifeVictory is thematic – The theme LEADS in LOVE, everything else is elementary and follows.

WORDS fitly spoken can heal…it is time to heal.

Join me in sharing words that heal.

Peace,

Deborah

Let’s just think…..

Setting aside any and all ideology, long held beliefs, preconceived notions.  Please, just think for a moment and ponder this week the possibilities of this picture.

What is going on in this little girl’s mind?   What is she thinking about as she presses her ear to her mommy’s growing belly?  It’s like she is giving a gentle hug to her sibling so safely protected in their mommy’s womb only millimeters of skin, flesh and tissue separate them from being able to touch skin-to-skin.  Such joy and anticipation!

The unknown world ahead.  The hopes and dreams for a future of possibilities, fear, apprehension can also be a part of this scene.  In God, we have a future and a hope!  We have a future and a hope!  With God, all things are POSSIBLE!

Every human life starts with the framework of being designed, created and born in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27).  When we continue on the path of possibilities with God we abide and remain in his presence, uncorrupted by the world, like the innocence of a child in the womb.  Created for love and good works.

How can the world say that precious life has no value to be protected, loved and nurtured.  Why are we not teaching our young women and men to love and believe the best?  We can create with God what we want to see in the earth, for love and good works.   Every human being is created to BE a POSSIBILITARIAN!  It’s in our true nature, it really is!

As we approach this coming week and reflect on where our world and it’s ideas, let’s think on, promote and do all we can to BE the Change God Wants To See in the World and Become that [...]

Thankfulness in the midst of hardship

How hard is that?

Hardship is part of life for sure. But do we let the hardship harden our hearts, make us cynical, sarcastic and angry?

OR, do we let it grow our appreciation for the lessons learned, count our blessings, grow in character and resilience?

A few years back I did some study of centenarians, 100 years old +, two things they had in common was an ability to take life’s ups and downs, the good, the bad and the ugly, in stride. And the faith to believe that hardships do pass and to find humor wherever possible. And, by all means counting their blessings.

I wanna be like that!

Resilience and Thankfulness play such and important role in our lives and making lemonade out of life’s lemons and yummy cherry pie out of the pits!

Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

Oops!! October came and went and here is october’s themed focus!

Hhhmmm, when I think about being OTHERS FOCUSED my mind goes to the words of Christ when He talked about LOVE, in fact, no greater LOVE. Than to lay down one’s life for others.

Not an easy thing given how people treat us in this life at times. Choose to forgive them. Not easy, but very freeing.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not saying to go around and be someone’s whipping post or door mat.

But, I am saying that no matter what others do to you, consider this, you are only responsible for your response to what is done to you.

Being mindful to treat others the same exact way you would want them to treat you.

Ya know, I think if we were all honest with ourselves there are times when we provoke a quarrel or a fight. Yes, come on, admit it! We all are guilty to one degree or another. When was the last time you were hungry, angry, lonely or tired? That is the greatest likelihood when that can happen. So H.A.L.T.!

When you know you are hungry, angry, lonely or tired take a step back – take care of your responses to others and value yourself in the process.

Oh!! I love this! The merciful, kind, and generous person benefits the self for their deeds return to BLESS them, but those who are cruel and callous to the wants of others brings on them self retribution.

And, the light in the eyes of those whose heart is JOYFUL rejoices the hearts of others, and good news nourishes the bones! [...]

Righteousness ~ Reconciliation ~ Rest are November’s theme

Righteousness ~ Reconciliation ~ Rest are November’s theme

I don’t know about you but I get excited about words and the meaning they bring to our lives!

Words have power to lift up and encourage or tear down

The quality of the words we use really do dictate the quality of our lives.

Righteousness is interchangeable with justice. We all want justice for the injustices we see around us. But righteousness is a greater word in that it reflects God’s nature and His standards of what is just.

Being reconciled to God helps us know how to carry out wise justice in our world that is necessary for rightness in our world.

And last but certainly not least rest. Rest for our soul and our body. Creating margin in our lives from so much busyness. The hustle bustle of life can stress and strain us to no end. God gave us the gift of rest so we could rejuvenate ourselves – disconnect from tasks and the to-do lists. We were not created to work seven days and be on the go go go 24/7. Rest helps our mind filter things out.

Rest lets us rejuvenate, recreate, recharge for our work. Please don’t ignore the value of rest. Take care of yourself ~ YOU are loved, YOU are valued.

Peace!

30 Years to Closure

30 Years to Closure

10/10/10 was the day I stood before the marble wall of the Northwest Memorial for the Unborn. A bittersweet moment which brought closure to a door in my life that I so wished had NEVER been opened...the door of "Abortion".
