Thankfulness…Truth…Trust – September theme

All 3 are vitally important in the greater landscape of life.

BEing THANKFUL…BEing TRUTHFUL…BEing TRUSTWORTHY are all within your own control. Whether or not others around you are…YOU, WE ALL have the choice of how to respond.

Reading Proverbs some time ago, chapter 23, verse 23 – Get TRUTH and don’t ever sell it. Also get WISDOM, DISCIPLINE & DISCERNMENT!

What great advice!

TRUST in THE LORD with all your HEART, lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE HIM and He will direct your path.
Proverbs 3:5-6

What if…you accepted yourself and loved yourself as much as God does?

As I work with a lot of people in my coaching work and just interact with people in general, there just simply seems to be such a disconnect between self awareness and self acceptance. Wishing they were someone else, comparing themselves.

How unfair is that to compare yourself to someone else. Someone completely different than you?

Trying to measure up to the world’s standard puts us in a box we were never meant to fit into or fill.

One reason I love the Identity & Destiny life purpose coaching steps so much is that they are so practical and you don’t compare to others, you discover your true you

Stop letting the world define and label you! Let God define you, He knows you best. And you are made in His image and likeness created for good.

Be happy! 🙂

3 words are rattling around (well actual

3 words are rattling around (well actually more!) but 3 that are intertwined and relevant in a number of conversations I have had with various people the last couple of weeks…actually ever since Independence Day. Independence…Interdependence…Codependence.
Let’s start with defining the core word in each…DEPENDENCE. Just fyi, I will be using the American Dictionary of the English Language – Noah Webster 1828. “Reliance; confidence; trust; a resting on. A state of being subject to the will of an intelligent cause, power or operation. Connection by which one thing is sustained by another, in its place, operations, or is affected by it. Inability to sustain itself without the aid of.”
Okay….so foundationally there we are. Now, INDEPENDENCE…
“A state in which a person does not rely on others for subsistence; ability to support one’s self. A state of being not dependent; complete exemption from control, or the power of others. A state of mind in which a person acts without bias or influence from others.”
Interestingly enough, the words INTERDEPENDENCE and CODEPENDENCE were not in the 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary.
So, I went to my iPhone app dictionary.
Interdependence…”of two or more people or things dependent on each other.”
Codependence…”excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically a partner who requires support due to an illness or addiction.”
It has been interesting how many times these words have come up in random conversations this month. I think partially because we just celebrated America’s Independence Day on July 4th.
But, in the greater scope of things that fact that we are created for relationship. We may have temperaments that are more [...]

Independence Day vs. Interdependence Day

Independence Day vs. Interdependence Day – The difference may seem obvious but I would ask in the bigger picture of life is the all out drive for independence a good thing?

One of the L.I.F.E.V.I.C.T.O.R.Y. Life Principles being INTERDEPENDENCE is a reminder of how intertwined we human beings are. I recently read an article stating that the number one human condition is a deep sense of loneliness. We really were created for social connection – we need each other.

A Wildflower Grows in Brooklyn: From Striving to Thriving After Sexual Abuse and Other Trauma
New book offers a story of hope and recovery from traumatic life experiences
Chicago – May 15, 2013 – Julie Woodley understands trauma. From physical and sexual abuse as a child, to abortion, the murder of a dear friend, brain injury and cancer, she has experienced more than a lifetime’s worth of pain and loss. By the grace of God, Woodley is now thriving. In her new book, A Wildflower Grows in Brooklyn: From Striving to Thriving After Sexual Abuse and Other Trauma, Woodley shares her story of anguish, loss, hope, recovery and how she helps others overcome major obstacles.
“As someone who has endured so much trauma and works as a trauma counselor, I’ve heard hundreds and hundreds of stories of pain, shame, anger and confusion,” said Woodley. “These stories have put a fire in me to keep telling my own story because I see how sharing it has helped so many women.”
In the book, readers will find a story that will inspire them to imagine a life restored and overflowing with all the good things God intends for them. Woodley discusses how God elevated her joy and hope through layers of loss and into the light of His plan for her. She talks about her transformation from a broken [...]

I feel very strongly led to encourage us

I feel very strongly led to encourage us all to pray for the jury in the Gosnell trial. If any of them are post-abortive will most likely need counsel and care. Those who aren’t will just need trauma counseling. From what I heard from a reporter who sat through the whole trial, he said it was worse than any trial, the worst of the worst in all of his 27 years as a reporter. The House of Horrors trial should never be happening anywhere on this planet…when will we learn? Thank you, Please pray….<3 http://ow.ly/i/26JCa
